To our beloved Officers , Soldiers, Friends and the People of Haiti
It is with concern that our heart goes out to you as reports continue to emerge about the violence affecting your beautiful homeland. The reality of closing the corps doors and winding down the important work in Haiti due to the violence brings on an understandable gloom. Things may look very dark right now; perhaps your plans for the life , love and family may even seemed shattered. Be assured the leadership, Officers and soldiers and the many brethren here in the Caribbean Territory are praying earnestly that you feel the palpable presence of God in these trying times, bringing you strength, hope, and inspiration.
Although things do look dark, and there are feelings of despair, continue to trust the presence of God is with you. In Psalms, we read, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?... If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me” (139:7, 11). God does know you and care for you, for everyone. God has not abandoned you. Even in the depths of despair, when we turn our hearts to God, we feel the light and grace of God’s presence and love right here to protect us.
That’s always true for each of us as God’s creation. As God’s spiritual likeness we have a relation to God that is as inseparable and inseverable as that of a sunbeam to the sun the “still, small voice” of God can be heard even in the darkest moments.
We will continue to support you with our love and prayers, and our God who is still on throne and in control will bring this ordeal to an end. So our beloved brothers and sisters continue to keep safe and to trust God who will see you through.

This is the home page of The Salvation Army Caribbean Territory.
The Territory is comprised of sixteen countries; Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, French Guiana, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts, Sint Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and The Turks & Caicos Islands.
MAKING a difference in MANDEVILLE
The Salvation Army on February 16, 2022, under the management of Lts- Junior and Roselyn St. Cyr Corps Officers and their team including CSM Mrs. Loretta Butler and CS Mrs. Hazel White.
With crops such as Tomatos, cucumbers, sweet peppers, yam, sweet potato, red peas and corn, the land is rich and fertile tilled by the competent Lt. Junior continues to produce bountiful harvests of crops.
The good Lt Junior has taken a ‘no-nonsense hands-on’ approach to this project and explains that a huge percentage of the produce is used in the community, especially among the many single-parent families and homeless people the Corps supports as part of their social program.
When contacted Major Boyeke Nana Agyemang The Divisional Commander Eastern Jamaica spoke very highly of the young hardworking officers stationed in Mandeville and the wonderful things happening there. He is also quite hopeful that other officers especially those in rural communities would contact The Salvation Army Projects Department and take advantage of opportunities of this nature.
